These criminals were responsible for a heinous attack on the Tarmarc phone market, which resulted in the tragic loss of one of its valued traders. The perpetrators were able to make off with several highly prized phones, but their actions did not go unnoticed. On the 6th of April 2023, the long arm of the law caught up with three notorious suspects – Ajayi Kayode, Habeeb Idowu, and Temitayo Oresanya. Acting on a tip-off, the vigilant policemen attached to Kemta divisional headquarters apprehended the fugitives who had been hiding out in the Abule Ake area of Kemta, hoping to evade arrest.
With swift action, DPO Kemta division, CSP Adeniyi Adekunle, rallied his team and swiftly arrived at the scene. There, they successfully apprehended all three suspects. Two of the suspects have come forward and admitted to their involvement in the robbery incident. On the 12th of April at approximately 5 pm, a group of audacious robbers stormed Tarmarc, firing their weapons indiscriminately. Tragically, one of the traders, Dayo Bankole, lost his life in the attack. The brazen thieves made off with numerous phones in the aftermath. Witnesses report that during the daring heist, one of the perpetrators, Sakiru Adeniji, was apprehended at the location, while his accomplices managed to evade capture.
The esteemed Oyeyemi has reported that the highly regarded Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Yomi Oladimeji, expressed his appreciation for the public’s cooperation in providing valuable information to the police.
